B’fort villagers want road repaired

BEAUFORT: Some 300 families in Kampung Jempangah here, want action taken on the damaged road to their village.“The main road to the village has not been maintained and damaged for so long,” said one of the residents of the 60 houses there.
“During heavy rain, the culverts are too small to accommodate the water and the result is flooding easily.

“In some locations, there are huge holes in the middle of the road. The villagers have no choice,” he said.
He added the roads are rarely maintained and it is troublesome for the roadusers to commute to work and back.
