Bersatu Sabah leaders must work hard: Hajiji
Tuaran: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) division leaders in Sabah need to work hard to ensure the party is supported and accepted by the people, said its Sabah Co-ordinator Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said as a new party in the State, it is the responsibility of division and wing leaders to explain to the people as clearly as possible the party’s struggles.

“All Bersatu Sabah leaders need to work hard to expand the party’s influence throughout the State so that it becomes a strong party in the State,” he said at a Bersatu Sabah breaking of fast event at the Hikmah Hall, An-Nur Mosque, Tuaran.

Among those present were Bersatu Malaysia Srikandi Chief Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun who is also Rural Development Minister, Bersatu Supreme Council member Datuk Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen, Bersatu Sabah Deputy Chief Coordinator Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, Bersatu Sabah Srikandi Chief Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun and Bersatu Sabah Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (Armada) Chief Mohd Isquzaean Israq Arsit.

Hajiji, who is also Bersatu Tuaran Division Protem Chief, said the response from the people towards the party is very encouraging, including from professionals like doctors, lawyers and so on.

“This shows Bersatu led by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is accepted well by all walks of the indigenous community in Sabah.

“Thus, I hope Bersatu division leaders will act ‘inclusively’ and open up the space to all those interested to join the party, particularly the youth.

“Don’t ever make this party as only for our own and our cronies,” he said.

Hajiji stressed that the objective of Bersatu is to serve the people.

“Use people-friendly approach, so they continue to support us and at the same time will make Bersatu the strongest political party in Sabah in future.” He said Bersatu leaders also must have a strong fighting spirit and commitment to state the party’s struggles.

“All must shoulder the responsibility, so we will successfully bring the torch of our struggles and be accepted by the people.

“If we want to succeed, we must unite and our heart beats as one,” he stressed.
