Fund for Kg Melangkap Baru new hall next year, says YB

KOTA BELUD: The allocation for the construction of a new mini hall at Kampung Melangkap Baru will be included in next year’s budget, said Rural Development Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.
He said, attention will be given to the construction of the hall as the village’s location is strategic.

“The hall can be used to conduct cultural activities as well as a tourists’ pit-stop as there are tourism activities along the river in Melangkap Baru,” he said during the Kaamatan celebration at the village’s field, near here, recently.
Earlier, Kampung Melangkap Baru Village Community Management Council Chairman Fredrickson Tunding had appealed for the facilitation of repair works on damaged gravity pipes due to the 2015 earthquake.
The event received a contribution of 100 plastic chairs, two canopies and financial aid from Ewon as well as financial assistance from Kota Belud MP Munirah Majilis.
