Assaulting hubby with iron rod: Woman held in LD

LAHAD DATU: District police detained a 40-year-old local woman who allegedly hit her husband using an iron rod at their house in Kampung Panji last Saturday (June 1).
The suspect, believed to be a drug addict, was detained at her house about 2am on Monday after her 38-year-old husband lodged a report.

District Police Chief ACP Nasri Mansor said the victim claimed he was hit by her at 10pm. He suffered injuries on his face as well as chest.
Nasri said the incident occurred following an argument between the couple who had been married since 2004.
Prior to the incident, the victim rebuked his wife when he found online gambling on her mobile phone.
The suspect then went outside the house and took an iron rod to assault him.
