Wong pledges support for Tawau school’s event

TAWAU: State assistant Minister cum Sri Tanjong Assemblyman Datuk Jimmy Wong pledge support for the 55th anniversary dinner of the Sabah Chinese High School to be held on July 6 at Tawau community hall.
He was speaking while receiving a courtesy call from the Board of Directors Monday.

He also urged the public to support the event in order to make it run smoothly and successfully.
Earlier, the Managing-Director of QL Group, Chia Seong Fatt, who is also the chairman of Tawau Chinese Chamber of Commerce, bought RM10,000 tickets.
The school would also hold a series of activities such as charity run and school tour. The charity run will be held on June 30 with a goal of raising RM200,000.
It will be divided into VVIP, VIP, Mix Open, Mix students and Veteran (50 years and above) category.

A donation of RM3,000 is needed in order to meet the eligibility criteria for VVIP category, VIP category (RM1,000), Mix Open and Veteran category (RM150).
Besides that, the 55th anniversary dinner is expected to reach 1,000 people and the fundraising target is RM500,000. The initial fundraising target for the school tour activity is RM300,000 which will be held on July 7, more info contact Liew at 0198736340.
