Two gang members arrested, cops hunting for 3 more

KOTA KINABALU: Two members of “Gang James” were arrested for suspected armed robbery at Jalan Sembulan, here, on Friday. City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji said the suspects aged between 41 and 48 were nabbed at Plaza 2 Luyang at 7.30pm on Saturday based on a tip off.
The gang which comprised five men with drug offences was believed involved in several crime activities around the city.

“During the robbery, one of the suspects threatened the homeowner’s foreign maid with a knife and asked where the jewelry were kept.
“Several valuable were stolen including a gold ring and necklace, branded bag, cash amounting to RM18,000. The estimated total loses was RM83,000 ,” he told a press conference, Tuesday.
Based on their arrests, police recovered the items used in the robbery including a Proton Saga, mobile phone and mask.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

“Police are on the hunt of three other members aged between 31 and 51 including their mastermind identified as James,” Habibi said. Those who have information and recognise the three suspects are urged to contact police in assisting investigation.
