A technical fault was to blame for the difficulty a Penampang Streamyx-subscriber experienced in using his service recently.A Telekom Malaysia (TM) Bhd spokesman said the problem stemmed from a ‘drop-wire’ leading to the customer’s home.ADVERTISEMENT
“We have since replaced the wire and the customer’s modem,” he said.
“Our staff will keep the situation under observation to ensure that the connection remains stable.”
The spokesman apologised, on behalf of the company, for the inconvenience caused to the customer.
SALIM, who lives in Kg Sugud, was upset by the months-long delay he has experienced in having this problem rectified.ADVERTISEMENT
He said his Internet connection was prone to being disconnected, making it difficult to access the worldwide web.
“I lodged a complaint with Telekom Malaysia’s (TM) 100 - Customer Assistance staff earlier this year and was assured that my problem would be attended to,” he said.

He said he was given a reference number to follow up on the progress of his grievance.
Salim said he contacted the Customer Assistance line on and off during the intervening months, only to be told to be patient. When no action was forthcoming, he personally lodged a report at TM Point in Sadong Jaya.
“Despite making several trips to that office, my Streamyx service is still unstable.”
“The personnel assure me that a technician will be sent to my house but, so far, no one from the firm come to check on my Internet connection.”Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
