Man held in Tenom for  having homemade guns
TENOM: A 29-year-old local was arrested for keeping home-made guns – a bakakuk and an air gun – in a raid on an unnumbered house in Kg Amboi, here.

The “Ops Sarang”, led by Inspector Siri Piuh, was conducted by the Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department of Tenom police headquarters at 7.15pm on Thursday. 

The raid also resulted in the seizure of syabu weighing 0.10gm.

Tenom District Police Chief Hasan Majid said the suspect, who tested positive for syabu, is under remand for four days to facilitate investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 8(a) of the Weapons Act 1960.
