Three nabbed for stealing in Sandakan

SANDAKAN: Three men were arrested for stealing irons worth RM500 at a residential park, Taman Rimba, Mile 7, Thursday. District Police Chief ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin said the three suspects aged between 29 and 39 were apprehended for breaking into a house a day before they were caught by police.

“Police tracked down the suspects’ vehicle based on a closed-circuit television (CCTV) at the victim’s house which led to the recovery of the car at Taman Rajawali.
“Further investigation led to the arrest of the three suspects who were tested positive for drugs,” Azhar said.
He said the suspects would be investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for stealing and Section 15(1)(a) of Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for taking drugs.
Meanwhile, police arrested 20 illegal immigrants aged between 18 and 50 in an operation recently.
