21 complete Badminton Umpire Course
Kota Kinabalu: A total of 21 participants successfully completed the Level One Badminton Umpire Course which was held at S.M. Yu Yuan, Sandakan from July 13-14.

The two-day course organized by SJK (C) Yuk Choi and SM Yu Yuan, and conducted by Badminton International Instructor, Datuk Anthony C. Linggian to enhance the standard of badminton in the district had attracted mainly students and players as well as some teachers.

The closing ceremony was graced by Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Arunarnsin Taib and he said in his speech that Sandakan players, coaches and court officials should take the opportunity to widen their knowledge so that more tournaments can be organised in Sandakan.

Also present were the school headmistress Lee Wai Han, Kinabatangan Badminton Association President Sudirman Abas and Sandakan Badminton Association President Lim Khne Ho.
