LAHAD DATU: A two-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a Toyota Land Cruiser driven by his uncle who was on a visit during the Aidiladha celebration on Sunday.

District Police Chief ACP Nasri Mansor said the 3.45pm incident occurred in front of the victim’s house in Kampung Long Danau, Silabukan.

“Preliminary investigations showed the 37-year-old driver and his family were about to leave the victim’s house when the incident occurred.

“When moving forward, the driver felt he had hit something and when he got out of the vehicle to check, he found the boy lying near his front wheel,” he said.

The victim was immediately taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead due to severe head injuries.
