Musbah joins 100 Muslims at Taun Gusi Qurban ‘do’

KOTA BELUD: Some 100 Muslims of Kampung Taun Gusi congregated at the mosque in celebrating Hari Raya Aidiladha, where they performed ‘Solat Sunat Aidiladha’ prayers, followed by a sacrificial rites.
Tempasuk MP Datuk Musbah Jamli chanted prayers along with the congregation at the Nurul Ehsan Mosque, here, Wednesday.

In light of the celebration, “Program Ibadah Qurban” was organised where 11 cows were slaughtered for sacrifice, witnessed by Musbah and the rest of the congregation before proceeding with other programmes.
Meanwhile, five cows were given up for sacrifice at Surau Al-Ikhlas on the second day of Qurban, two of which were donated by Musbah, one by Armada PPBM Chief Fairuz Rendaan and two by former Pemuda Umno Chief Arshad Bistari.
Musbah also donated towards Nurul Ehsan Mosque, Kota Belud District Police Headquarters Surau, Kulambai Dundau Mosque and Kesapang Mosque with one cow respectively.
He stated that the Aidiladha celebrations shouldn’t be about sacrificing animals only, but it should also serve as a reminder that one should be willing to sacrifice themselves in helping the needy within the community.

“We need to put aside our self-interests for the good of the community and subsequently instil a love for the country in order to achieve harmony.
“Therefore, in light of this, let us stand together to foster unity in this multi-ethnic community so we can be more tolerant of each other,” he said.

Musbah acknowledged that it was easier said than done and stated that one must have great willpower to put it into action.
