Foreigner jailed for  breaking  into house
LAHAD DATU: A 25-year-old foreigner was jailed two years for breaking into a house by the Magistrate’s Court, here, Friday.

Mohd Asran Supian, who appeared before Magistrate Ryan Rayner Jr, admitted to breaking into a house at Palm Height Residence on July 26, this year.

He was convicted under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

The facts of the case stated the accused, with two accomplices still at large, broke into the house and stole a laptop, house and car keys, two mobile phones and coins.

Following the report lodged by the victim, the accused was arrested on July 27 at unnumbered house in I-Peak and managed to recover the laptop and one of the mobile phones.

The court ordered the accused to serve the sentence from the date of arrest and ordered to be referred to the Immigration Department after serving his sentence.
