Drugs: 52 detained in KK op

KOTA KINABALU: Fifty-two people, aged between 16 and 57, were rounded up here for various drug offences during a weeklong “Ops Sarang” since Aug 10.
Of the figure, nine are foreigners, according to City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji, in a statement, Saturday.

Three were detained for drug supply and distribution, eight for drug possession and 41 who tested positive for drugs.
The operation saw 19 raids conducted leading to the seizure of 17.94gm of syabu and 5,800gm of ketum worth about RM954.50 in the market.
The latest operation was concentrated in Kg Kandang Ayam and Kg Cenderamata in Likas, where 20 people were detained.

Habibi vowed to continue carrying out such operations to eradicate substance abuse and drug activities in the State Capital.
