KOTA KINABALU: Nealson Low won his first title at the 12th TKC Invitational Snooker championship held at the Kinabalu Club (TKC) Clubhouse on Saturday.

He defeated Arbaid Jaalin 5-3 in the final to claim the RM3,000 cash prize, and the victory did not come easy as Arbaid came from four frames down to win the next three frames.

Earlier in the semi-final, Nealson beat Philip Sim 4-3, while Arbaid defeated Jamal Jalaini 4-2.

Meanwhile, six-time winner Sheldon Senagang, who only made it to the quarterfinal stage with Kong Sing Yew, Liau Yee Chun and Louis Yap, won the highest break prize of RM500, which was achieved in the opening round.

A total of 66 players took part in the competition organised by the Kinabalu Club (TKC) with the trophies sponsored by club member Francis Ng.
