TUARAN: Ten people, aged between 20 and 40, were roped in for suspected substance abuse and syabu possession during a week-long Ops Tapis since Aug 26.
The operation which ended on Sept 1 was conducted by the Tuaran Narcotics Crime Investigation Department in two housing areas, namely Taman Telipok Ria and Taman Sri Rugading.

Tuaran Police Chief, DSP Mohd Hamizi Halim, said three were detained for drug possession while seven for substance abuse.
Police also seized 1.60gm worth about RM148.40.
He said the Ops Tapis which was divided into Ops Sarang and Ops Hibur was conducted 14 times within a week.
