Marine cops seize 12 gallons of  petrol buried in L Datu beach
LAHAD DATU: The district Marine Police Force (PPM) found 12 gallons of petrol which were buried at the beach of Kampung Sinakut, Felda Sahabat on Sunday. 

Acting on information by their intelligence unit at 6pm, a group of Marine police were dispatched to patrol the area.

“Upon inspection, one particular area was found to be suspicious where the team later found twelve green gallons containing petrol that were buried in the sand,” said Sabah Region Four Marine Commander, ACP Mohamad Pajeri Ali.

He said all 12 gallons were seized and it was believed intended to be smuggled out to a neighbouring country

“The seizure was estimated to be worth RM583.20, were later brought to Marine Base for investigation and action.

Mohamad Pajeri added that the case is currently being investigated under Section 21 of Control of Supply Act 1960.
