Another S’wakian angler found

LABUAN: The second of three missing Sarawakian anglers was discovered by villagers floating by the Pulau Sari Besar shore here at 11pm, Tuesday night.

Labuan MMEA enforcement chief Capt Che Adnan Md Isa said the second body was identified to be 29-year-old Faruk Arina Ahmad Sabri.

The three were reported missing on Monday in Lawas waters and the body of the first victim was found on Tuesday morning in Labuan waters.

The remaining angler yet to be found is Mohd Amirul Bakar, 26.

Che Adnan said his agency would increase efforts in its search and rescue operation for the remaining victim.

He added that the SAR operation also involved the marine police, Civil Defence Force and local fishermen as well as the maritime agency of Brunei.
