KOTA KINABALU: Team Malaysian University Lawn Bowls (MULB) A captured the title at the 3rd Sabah Open Pairs Lawn Bowls tournament which concluded at the Likas Lawn Bowls Green on Sunday.
The duo of Mohd Ikmal Ikmkan Mohd Rosli and Muhd Saifudin Zulkepli had it easy with a 16-8 victory over local team, BS Tiger represented by Osnah Binuah and Lakeri @ Lawrence Eging in the final. With the win, they took home the RM4,000 cash prize and the losing finalist received RM2,000.

Earlier in the semi-finals, MULB A defeated team Hassul 20-12 while BS Tiger edged Keningau Veteran 18-13, and both the losing semi finalists were presented RM1,000 each.
Fifth to eighth places went to Derma’s corner, Golden Star, Rembet and Atma respectively, and each team also received RM500 cash prize.
The four-day competition which attracted teams from Brunei, Sarawak, Peninsula, and Labuan was organised by Sabah Lawn Bowls Association (SLBA).
SLBA President Datuk Ladislaus Maluda presented the prizes to the winner at the closing ceremony.
