Share expertise, CM urges Ranau grads

RANAU: Graduates in the district are encouraged to share the expertise in their relative fields with other people, especially the Bumiputeras, so they could continue to progress in their daily lives.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said graduates, being the role model that they are, must become the catalyst for the Bumiputera community in the region to continue to strive for success.

“Education plays an important role in bringing about change in society, especially in developing competent human capital.
Education is an important platform that drives the development of this nation.
“I hope that the Ranau district will succeed in creating more success in various fields and producing a knowledgeable and quality nation that is capable of being the heir to the current generation of leaders,” he said.
Shafie said this in his speech read by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Jaujan Sambakong in conjunction with the Majlis Malam Mesra Graduan Ranau 2019 at the Ranau Sports Complex Hall on Saturday.

“In the context of the Ranau district, we can see the progress of this area compared to 50 years ago, to some extent, it is shaped by the Ranau district’s human capital that has achieved the highest education.
“I believe that the graduates from this area are able to inspire great ideas and suggestions that are practical to accelerate development and progress especially in the Ranau area.

“It is our hope that such an event will also be translated into a broader context, especially in helping to develop and advance the community towards socio-economic improvement for the betterment of Ranau district as a whole,” he said.
