LAHAD DATU: Uttering insulting words led to a fight between two groups of teenage girls from two villages here that landed seven of them in lock-up on Tuesday.
The seven students, aged between 14 and 17, from Kg Panji and Kg Pisang, had, prior to the 5.30pm incident, met up to talk over some issues and misunderstanding among them. District Police Chief ACP Nasri Mansor said some girls from Kg Pisang had accused those from Kg Panji of being undocumented.

They also said these girls always checked into hotels. This made the girls from Kg Panji angry and they asked those who bad-mouthed them to meet up and settle the matter.
After meeting up and arguing, the girls started fighting.
Nasri said someone took a video of the girls fighting and shared it on Facebook.
“Following the incident, we arrested seven girls to facilitate investigations, “ he said, adding that no one was seriously injured in the incident.
