Man feared drowned in Ranau

RANAU: A man is feared drowned while bathing in Sungai Merugin, Ranau, near here, Thursday evening.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, in a statement, said it received a call about 2.40pm and four firemen were deployed to the scene to conduct a search and rescue (SAR) operation.

“The 23-year-old was believed to have disappeared about 12.30pm while bathing in the river, about 39km from the Ranau fire station,” the statement said.
According to the statement, to date the man has not been found and the SAR operation would be continued until the victim was found.
