TUARAN: Study has shown that children would be successful in life if their parents are committed in performing their responsibility, apart from the condition and environment where they live in.
Sulaman Assemblyman, Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, said he understand how great the burden and challenges faced by parents in looking after their children but the responsibility should not be left to teachers alone, as parents should also do their part in nurturing and educating their children.

“Parents must play an active role and perform their responsibility, considering that the success of their children in school also very much depends on the parents’ success in nurturing them at home,” he said when officiating the Appreciation Day of Permata Kemas kindergarten and nursery held at Sri Sulaman hall, Thursday.
Hajiji said the country needs a knowledgeable and educated community, so they will be able to compete and progress in this era of globalisation.
“Hence, parents need to perform their responsibility by looking after their children even when they are outside their home. A lot of problems involving children occurred due to them being neglected and not given much attention from their parents,” he said.
He said if parents continue to care and give attention to their children up until they are in secondary school, which is the most challenging time for them, definitely they will become successful in life.
