UMS to co-organise sports-based tourism programme

THE Faculty of Business, Economics and Accounting (FPEP), University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Deru Selat Ekspidisi Resources Sdn Bhd, Thursday, signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) (pic) to work together in organising a sports-based tourism programme that focused on open water swimming in Feb 2020. The LoI signing ceremony was graced between FPEP UMS Dean, Prof Dr Raman Noordin and Deru Selat Ekspidisi Resources Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Norazmin Abdul Aziz.

“Among the LoI objectives are to obtain a fixed swimming route certification with government agencies involved, knowledge sharing, and cooperation in the development of sports tourism,” the statement said. “It includes training opportunities for future graduates as well as jobs in the sports-based tourism industry.”
