Bernard Liew is new Sabah Land and Survey Director

KOTA KINABALU: Bernard Liew Chau Min, 54, has been appointed the new Sabah Land and Survey Director effective Nov 4.
He replaces Datuk Safar Untong, who was appointed Sabah State Secretary last week.

The handing over of duties between Safar and Liew was held on Tuesday.
Liew previously assumed the position of Deputy Director of the State Land and Survey Department and started serving in the Department’s public sector as a District Surveyor in 1989.
He graduated with a Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Land Survey from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1989.
While in the service, he went on to study and earned a Master of Science in Land Administration and Management in 2008 at the same university.

He is a Registered Licensed Surveyor, Sabah Surveyors Board since 2009 and a Registered Licenced Surveyors, Land Surveyors Board West Malaysia since 2018.
