Kota Kinabalu: Another pygmy elephant was found dead in Sukau, Kinabatangan, it was reported Saturday.
An autopsy by the Wildlife Department is currently underway on the carcass.

"The autopsy is still being done. I have no further information but it is true that a dead elephant was found in Sukau,” Borneo Today quoted a source as saying.
Wildlife Director Augustine Tuuga confirmed the matter.
Later, on October 20, a rotten carcass was found at a farm in Beluran with six suspected poachers arrested to assist in the investigation in both cases.
On November 3, the carcass of a pygmy elephant was found floating upstream of Kinabatangan River with its feet cut off.
