Kg Nosoob power outages: SESB to check installations

SABAH Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) staff have been instructed to check on the condition of the firm’s installations servicing Kg Nosoob to minimise the power disruptions in the village.
A SESB spokeswoman said an unforeseen problem with the firm’s high voltage system was behind a recent outage.

“Our staff repaired the damaged installation servicing the area and managed to restore the supply on the same on these two occasions,” she said.
“They have been keeping an eye on the system here and, so far, there have been no more disruptions.”
THEA of Penampang said the supply to her home was disrupted in the wee hours.
“This blackout is one of many which we have been experiencing for some time,” she said.

She said it was difficult for her kids to study by candlelight when outages occurred at night.
“On top of this, me and my family are deprived of getting a good night’s rest because of the lack of ventilation,” she said.

The outages had taken place so often of late, Thea said, that she feared that her electrical appliances might be damaged as a result.
