KOTA BELUD: Two people died while two children sustained serious injuries when a Proton Saga FL they were traveling in crashed onto a 10-tonne lorry at Jalan Kota Marudu-Kota Belud at Kg Ulu Kukut, here, Saturday.
The driver Zollen Enggal, 38 and a woman, Soo Li Ling, 33, were pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers.

While an eight-year-old boy, Zulkifli Sapawit, suffered injuries on his face and head while Syarikmal So Abdullah, 9, broke her left leg.
District Police Chief here, Supt Mohd Zaidi Abdullah, said preliminary investigation revealed that the Proton was heading from Kota Marudu to Kota Kinbalu.
“As soon as the (Proton) was driving down a hill, the driver lost control and smashed into the rear of the lorry until it went underneath the vehicle.
Zaidi said the relationship between the victims in the Proton Saga was not known.
