Abide terms of PKR meet, Azmin told
Raymond
KENINGAU: Sabah Youth (AMK) of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) said while Deputy President, Dato ‘Seri Azmin Ali has been allowed to open the Youth congress for 2019, he and his team should stop any action that creates tension in the party and stop making statements contrary to the party’s decision.

“The agreement was reached after Azmin and several party leaders attended the Special Meeting held yesterday. Also present were Zuraida Kamaruddin, Abdul Rashid Hasnon, R Sivarasa, Elizabeth Wong and Amirudin Shari and this was the first time Azmin and Zuraida attended the meeting after a year of absence, ” he said.

Raymond said AMK Sabah respected the decision made by party President Dato ‘Seri Anwar Ibrahim who was always patient and open-minded even though some leaders had acted rudely against him.

“We need to understand the concept of organization especially in political parties where we have to respect the President and fully support what the President is doing,” said its Chief Raymond Ahuar.

“At the same time, we also need to understand our obligations as party leaders who have been elected by the members to attend the scheduled meetings,” he said.

In addition, Raymond said leaders should avoid any actions that would affect  to the consensus in the Pakatan Harapan like the issue of power transfer which would have to be implemented in an immediate manner especially if Tun Dr Mahathir’s successor was the party’s President (Anwar Ibrahim).

“I also congratulate some central leaders and central AMKs who have previously expressed open support to the President even though they have openly opposed the President’s decision before.

“Because I see this as one of the factors that prompted Azmin to give up and bring his team to meet with the President at a Special Meeting and decide to attend the Keadilan National Congress to be held at MITC Malacca on Dec 6- 8,” he said.
