EXCLUSIVE: Polio probe ongoing in ungazetted Tuaran village

Tuaran: Health officials were seen carrying out on-site investigations on Wednesday into the re-emergence of polio in Malaysia through a case involving a three-month-old baby detected on Dec 6 in an ungazetted Tuaran village.
The case was detected in Kg Damat Baru, not Kg Damat, the Native Chief of the latter village, George Entong Poit, told a Daily Express team who visited both villages.

The health officials carrying out the inspections declined comment at this stage of their investigations into Malaysia’s first polio case in almost 30 years.
