134 pints of blood collected for Tawau hospital
TAWAU:  LTK Recreation Club (Pesta YuWang) collected 134 pints of blood in a blood donation drive for the blood bank of Tawau hospital on Saturday.

Its Organising Chairman Joseph Tsen said the blood donation drive was held from 8am until 2pm with 181 registrants.

The donors received recycled bags containing eggs, Malta beverages, soy drinks, biscuits, dried noodles, 3 in 1 coffee sachets as well as certificates. Breakfast and lunch also provided during the campaign.

The participating agencies and associations were the Immigration Department, Labour Department, Civil Defence Department, temporary detention centre, People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela), 516th Regiment of the Territorial Army, Royal Malay Army Batallion-26, Tawau police, Tawau trash buster squad, Persatuan Perkalas Tawau, Teck Guan Holdings Sdn Bhd, SIB Church, volunteer police team, JCI Merotai as well as Tawau Hakka Association Youth Section.

LTK Recreation Club (Pesta YuWang) was established by Datuk Dr. Lim Teck Kiong in 2012 as part of corporate social responsibility programme for the communities here.
