Motorcyclist seriously injured in Kiulu crash

Tuaran: A 17-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured when the bike he was riding crashed onto a car along Jalan Kiulu-Tamparuli, at Kampung Rangalau Lama, Kiulu, here, Monday.The villager of Kampung Bontoi, Tamparuli sustained fractures on his right arm and thigh following the impact of the 11.20am collision and was sent to Tuaran Hospital for treatment.

Tuaran District Police Chief DSP Mohd Hamizi Halim said initial investigation showed the victim was riding towards Tamparuli from Kiulu prior to the incident.
“The victim who was speeding lost control of the motorcycle, resulting in it veering off into the opposition lane before crashing onto the car which was coming from the Tamparuli direction,” he said, adding that the victim did not have a driving or motorcycle licence.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The 47-year-old driver of the car escaped unhurt, he said.
He urged those who may have witnessed the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation into the case classified under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
