Labuan Health Department Director Dr Ismuni Bohari in a statement on Tuesday said, the compounds were issued under Regulation 11 (1) (d) of the Tobacco Control Regulation (PPKHT) Regulations 2004 (amended) 2018 for smoking at eateries.
“A total of 144 premises across the island were inspected during the four-day operation.
“All premises complied with the regulation of displaying a no-smoking sign and no notices were issued,” he said.
Dr Ismuni said educational enforcement and warnings has been given throughout last year to ease the transition and implementation of the ban.

“The Department had conducted 2,033 inspections and site visits throughout 2019 focusing on educational enforcement to ease the implementation.
“Thus, strict enforcement will be carried out beginning this year and the Health Department will ensure the ban is fully enforced,” he added.
