Couple among three nabbed in Lahad Datu theft

LAHAD DATU: Three people, including a woman, were arrested for allegedly involved in a theft at a house in Kampung Tanjung Labian, here, last Thursday.
District Police Chief ACP Nasri Mansor said the trio, including a couple, were nabbed following a police report lodged by a 43-year-old woman.

He said the woman lodged the report after she was informed by her 10-year-old daughter that a woman came to their house and told her (daughter) to buy a mobile reload card at a shop nearby.
However, when the victim’s daughter returned, the woman (suspect) had already left the house.
Nasri said the victim later found some RM5,000 cash, identification documents and other items missing from the drawer of her closet.
Based on information given by the victim's daughter, a police team went to her house at Sahabat 3 and detained two men inside a Perodua Viva in front of the house, he said.

The woman suspect who hid herself in piles of clothes was also arrested, he added.

Nasri said a sling bag containing RM4,043 cash, two mobile phones, a small bag, five MyKads, a MyKid , K-Link card, a wallet and a watch was also recovered.

The woman, aged 34, and the other two suspects, aged 49 and 22, as well as the seized items were taken to the police station for further action.
