Son finds body of dad with neck slit

KOTA KINABALU: A body of a man with slit wounds on his neck was found in front of a stall at Kg Inanam Laut, Wednesday.City Police Chief, ACP Habibi Majinji said the 40-year-old victim, Jimboy Basal, was discovered by his 14-year-old son while he was walking home near the scene, at about 12.30am.

He said police received a call from the victim’s son at about 1.50am and rushed to the scene.
“Prior to the discovery of the body, the victim’s son was approached by four men, including his cousin, who asked the whereabouts of his father but he ignored them and walked towards Suria Inanam.
“Upon arriving at the location, he saw his father’s body with wounds on his neck, believed being slashed with a sharp object.
“The motive has yet to be established but a suspect was arrested and police are still looking for the other three suspects,” he said.
