A PENAMPANG resident, whose company couriered some documents to Sibu, is unhappy that this letter still has not reached the recipient after more than a fortnight.

She said that previous consignments sent via Pos Laju had been delivered, within two to three days, to the same addressee.

The customer provided Hotline with the relevant details, including the consignment number for the item, which were was forwarded to Pos Laju.

A Pos Laju spokeswoman said the firm was trying to locate the whereabouts of the letter in question.

“A check of our records shows that the item left Kota Kinabalu for Kuala Lumpur hub,” she said on February 10.

“It should have been redirected from the latter to Sarawak.”

She said the firm’s personnel at its KL and Sibu were in the midst of tracing the location of the bag containing the customer’s item.

NAZILAH of Penampang said her staff had made umpteen calls to Pos Laju since the letter was first handed over to the courier company’s staff on January 24.

“We were shocked to discover that the client still had not received the item which contains some official forms,” she said.

To make matters worse, she said Pos Laju staff in the State Capital seemed to be in dark as to where the letter was.

“I personally demanded an explanation from the firm about what was going on but the personnel cannot even say for sure if my letter is lost.”

Nazilah voiced her dissatisfaction over these turn of events, saying that she had paid for a service which had been altogether not forthcoming.

“My company has incurred a substantial loss of business because of the hold-up.” (SS)
