TUARAN: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) issued a RM20,000 compound against a business premises here found to have sold face masks above the controlled price.
Its Tuaran branch enforcement head, Siti Kamaliah Syamsuddin (pic), said the compound was issued following an inspection of the premises following a public complaint.

“(The premises’) Sales receipts were seized and the compound was issued due to the offence of selling face masks above the maximum price under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act (AKHAP) 2011,” she said.
He said from Jan 29, 75 inspections have been made on business premises here to check and monitor the price of face masks.
