Early schooling aid aims to ease parent’s burden

KENINGAU: State Assistant Minister of Rural Development Rasinin Koutis, said Early Schooling Aid was one of the government’s agendas to the burden of parents’ spending on the expenses of their children.
He said the assistance was given at RM100 per student and only given to those in low income households of RM3,000 monthly.

“Students and families earning more than RM3,000 a month are not eligible for the assistance,” he said when officiating and handing over the Early Schooling Aid to SMJK Ken Hwa students at the school hall here on Friday.
Rasinin hoped that the Government’s desire will be able to achieve its goals in reducing the parents’ burden.
He said the money could be used for school materials and clothes.
According to him, the assistance also showed the government’s concern for the people’s problems, especially parents during school season.

“I wish to congratulate all the staff in this school for the success of this relief effort that close cooperation and unity has made the programme possible without obstacles and problems.

A total of 530 eligible students received the aid presented by Rasinin.

Present at the programme were the school Principal, Chong Nyuk Choon, District Education Officer Representative, school teachers, School Management Board and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) leaders and parents.
