SANDAKAN: A secondary school is needed urgently in Kg Tanjung Aru for the use of students from 16 villages under the administration of the Kinabatangan District Council in the Sukau constituency.
Sukau Assemblyman Datuk Saddi Abdul Rahman said the application had also been submitted long ago. However, the application is still pending.

“We hope the Education Ministry will consider this application, in the round of the 12th Malaysia Plan (MP12).
“We also hope that if this secondary school is not yet constructed, a hostel for schoolchildren from the island area of Sukau who is studying in Sandakan, who have to take the sea route every time they return to school, can be built,” he told reporters after a visit to the victims and family members of the Sandakan boat wreck on Friday.
At the event, Saddi also presented donations to all victims, who are mostly secondary school students as well as the public and their representatives who were still hospitalised.
