AN Inanam subscriber has expressed her dissatisfaction with Telekom Malaysia (TM) Bhd over the telecommunication problems which she has been experiencing.

She said that her phone and Internet services had been out of order for some time.

The individual admitted that he was fed up of repeatedly having to contact TM staff about these telecommunication woes.

She provided Hotline with the relevant details including her billing particulars which were forwarded to the firm.

A TM spokesman said the relevant section would be informed about this matter.

“We will have to determine how this situation could have arisen, before making the necessary amends,” he said.

ENA, who lives in Kg Kitobu, said a pole and an overhead line was knocked down prior to the outage.

“I suspect that the cable might have snagged on the top of a passing lorry. It may snapped in two as a result,” she said.

“Me and my neighbours have been unable to use of phones, faxes and Internet since the incident.” She claimed to have lodged multiple complaints with the TM’s 100 – Customer Assistance – staff when she first noticed the damaged pole and cable.

“I was assured that this problem would be attended to promptly.”

Ena said she was told to be patient, each time she contacted them to find out what had been done. “At one point, I was even asked to contact the contractor tasked with restoring my telecommunication services.

“The individual claimed the new cable he had requisitioned had yet to arrive.” (SS)
