KOTA KINABALU: Police are investigating the gruesome discovery of three human feet suspected belonging to a two-year-old and three-year-old at a lorry workshop near Sepanggar Port, Saturday.

They were found by a worker at the workshop who saw a few dogs biting them around 6pm. City Police Chief ACP Habibi Majinji said a police team rushed to the scene upon being alerted.

“There were no signs of them (feet) being cut, only traces of animal bite marks,” he said, when contacted. No other body parts found.

It is unclear whether these belonged to missing children or from buried children dug up by a dog before bringing them to the workshop.

“Investigations are being conducted by personnel from the Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters (IPD) Criminal Investigation Department and assisted by Forensic forces including the K9 contingent police headquarters (KG) of Sabah,” he said.

Habibi urged those living nearby who had lost their children or had buried their children to inform police for further action.

“Police will conduct investigations on all aspects to determine the identity of the footprints. So far the case has been classified as sudden death,” he said. – SMM
