SANDAKAN: Police here will continue to reach out to the public on a face-to-face basis for immediate feedback on the effectiveness of delivery service and programmes organised in educating the community on crime prevention.
District Police Chief, ACP Mohd Azhar Hamin, said this was the objective of the “Talk to Us” initiative under the Royal Malaysian Police “modern policing”.

“Talk to Us” is also intended to foster and inculcate a spirit of understanding between the police and the community as a crime prevention friend.
“Through this approach, the public will be more open to helping police channel crime-related information and promptly alert the force to any suspicious activity in their area,” he said.
In line with this, in front of the Tai Chung Supermarket, in Bandar Kim Fung, recently, officers and personnel from the police station here held a “Talk to Us” programme and police meet-and-greet session.
