Galpam College achieves excellent results again

SANDAKAN: The Datuk Pengiran Galpam Sandakan Form Six College once again made history with excellent results in the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) 2019.
The School Average (GPS) grade showed a slight increase of 0.08 of 2.73 in 2019 compared to 2.65 in 2018.

The overall pass rate in 2019 is 98.8 per cent compared to 99.2 per cent in 2018. Head of the college, Hussein Abdul Manaf, said that 93 of the 257 candidates also obtained at least 3.00 Cumulative Grade point average (CGPA).
That number represents an increase of seven compared to 2018 (85).
Three students from the Humanities stream achieved outstanding results with PNGK4.00.
They are Mohd Alfian Alam, Muhammad Kurniawan Abdul Hamid and Meharaj Jagubar.

Topics covered include General Studies, History, Geography, and Economics.
In addition, the three top students in Science Stream were Ko Yu Yun with a CGPA of 3.75 (2A, 1A-, 1B +), Alexander Yapp Cheng Hao and Siew Sui Siong each achieving a CGPA of 3.67 (1A, 2A-, 1B +) and 3.67 (2A, 2B +).

Hussein congratulated all the candidates for their excellent results as well as lecturers who have worked hard to help students prepare for the examination.
The college has also developed and implemented a variety of programmes to empower and strengthen students’ understanding of the syllabus they teach.
These include mentor-mentee programmes, subject modules and subject colloquiums.

Datuk Pengiran Galpam Sandakan Form Six College offered 20 STPM subjects which are General Studies, Bahasa Melayu, Kesusasteraan Melayu Komunikatif, Syariah, Usuluddin, Arab and Chinese Language, History, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Accounts, Maths (M), Maths (T), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Sports Science and Visual Arts.
