PH MPs leave istana smiling
Kuala Lumpur: Several Pakatan Harapan (PH) members of parliament (MPs) were showing cheerful faces to the members of the media as they left the Istana Negara grounds following audiences with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustaffa Billah Shah Wednesday.

They were among the remaining 132 MPs who were summoned to the palace Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Al-Sultan Abdullah had consented for the one-on-one interview with all 222 MPs to find solutions for the country’s current political developments.

Yesterday, His Majesty had granted audiences to 90 MPs.

The group was seen leaving the palace grounds starting at 12.48 pm Wednesday before boarding a double-decker bus that was waiting near Istana Negara Gate 2. Some of them, however, got off the bus to meet with their supporters who had been waiting since 9 am.

Meanwhile, Pokok Sena MP Datuk Mahfuz Omar took the opportunity to tell the waiting members of the press that there would be good news for Malaysians without elaborating further.

Pulai MP and Amanah deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said they had signed a declaration to nominate one of the PH leaders as prime minister.

“Pakatan Harapan will come back (as government),” said Lumut MP Datuk Dr Mohd Hatta Md Ramli.

Kuantan MP and Pahang PKR chairperson Fuziah Salleh also made a similar statement.

“We will form (the government), Insya-Allah, as we have the majority,” she said.

All of them arrived at Istana Negara in stages, beginning 10 am today.

Meanwhile, a vehicle believed to be carrying PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife who is also former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail was also seen leaving the palace Wednesday. – Bernama
