In a press conference Friday, Rozman, who is also Labuan Warisan Division Chief, said their resignation was due to the current political developments in the country.
“We are members of the top leadership for political parties in Labuan which are now in the opposition bloc, thus we are resigning from the local authority’s advisory council.
“We are of the opinion that members of the Labuan Corporation Advisory Council should be filled by representatives from party components of the government bloc,” he said.
Rozman said their posts in the advisory council do not involve administrative operations and, therefore, their sudden resignation will not disrupt the Government’s administration and services to the people.
