Villagers continue search for man in Kota Belud

KOTA BELUD: Villagers are continuing the search for a mentally disabled man who went missing since March 1 in Kampung Kebidahan, here, although the search and rescue team had stopped doing so.Kinduoh Sampidoh, 60, was reported missing by his daughter, Edah, 29, after he went out from the house by himself.ADVERTISEMENT
“I dreamt that my father returned home exhausted, we will never stop looking for him,” she said.
Villagers were also trying to locate Kinduoh although the search and rescue (SAR) operation that to be halted on March 7.
“Although there are no signs of him even after five days of SAR operation, we are holding on to our hope that he will soon be found safe,” she said.
Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station Chief Muhammad Syazwan Latun said the search for the victim was carried out along Sungai Kebidahan, including a forest area covering ??15.2 kilometres. He said among those involved in the SAR since March 3 were the Malaysian Defence Forces (APM), Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and Sabah People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela).ADVERTISEMENT

Kinduoh is believed to have left the house at 6am and was last seen by residents in Sungai Kebidahan near the village in a blue short-sleeved shirt and brown shorts.
