14 new Covid-19 cases in Sabah, total 15
Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Health authorities late Friday evening announced a total of 15 positive Covid-19 cases in the state, up from one they reported previously.

However, no district breakdowns were given, meaning Tawau is the only district reported by authorities with the first case although Daily Express broke the news Friday morning about a second case in Papar, which authorities declined to confirm or deny.

According to the update, the 15 positives are 14 Malaysians and one Indonesian, with 380 samples taken from 412 suspected cases so far. A total of 365 samples were found negative.

Most of the suspected cases are Malaysians (340 cases), followed by 50 China nationals, nine Indonesians, three Japanese, two Koreans, two Pakistanis and one each from Hong Kong, the USA, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Jordan and Myanmar.

Authorities, however, urged calm and stressed that active and passive steps had been taken to fight the disease.
