Police intervene when Labuan man refuses virus testing

LABUAN: Police were called to intervene when a 68-year-old man refused to cooperate with health officials for Covid-19 screening here around 4pm on Thursday.
Labuan police chief Supt Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the man is the father and first contact to a tabligh member who attended a recent gathering at the Sri Petaling mosque said to be the latest transmission cluster of the disease.
ADVERTISEMENT The father had been called to undergo screening voluntarily on March 17 but he ignored it.
Police had to exert minimal force on the man after he refused to cooperate with the medical team sent to his flat home to collect his samples for Covid-19 testing.
