A Part of the Donggongon market used to be frequented by local community is now seen quiet.
Kota Kinabalu: A Daily Express survey of Gaya Street at dinner time on the last night March 17 prior to the imposition of the Restriction of Movement Order from March 18-31 to control the spread of Covid-19 throughout Malaysia found the street devoid of the usual many pedestrians and customers inside eateries.

Some labourers were still putting the finishing touches to traffic island pavements as the touristic souvenir shops closed for the eve night of the clampdown on human movements and activities the next day.
