Celcom offers special relief for customers

Kuala Lumpur: Celcom Axiata Bhd is extending support for all its customers via digital online services and additional special relief initiatives during the two-week Movement Control Order period.

Beginning Thursday until March 31, the mobile telecommunication service provider is offering free unlimited access to WhatsApp chat, voice- and video-call for all postpaid and Celcom Xpax prepaid customers between 8 am-6 pm daily.

It is also offering free unlimited access to Microsoft Office 365 applications for all postpaid and Celcom Xpax prepaid customers.

“All Celcom postpaid customers will have an extended payment period for seven days for bill payments from their current due date,” it said in a statement.

It said Celcom Xpax prepaid customers would enjoy a 10 per cent cashback when they purchased Celcom Xpax Reloads of RM10 and above via the Celcom Life App, until June 30, 2020.

Celcom’s Chief Executive Officer Idham Nawawi said the concern for safety and wellbeing of consumers as well as employees remained the company’s utmost priority and Celcom is dedicated to supporting Malaysians by keeping them connected. 

“As our customers are working from home or are limiting their movement by staying in their homes, we have made the necessary arrangements for our network to meet the increased demand and change of usage behaviour,” he said. – Bernama
